Nov, 16, 2024, SatAimee; Henry & Angie
|It was the first day of calm weather for Aimee to enjoy the salt water of the Keys. The sky was clear the boat was ready, we had beer in the cooler, and only hoped the water would be clear. I hoped Angie would try out her brand new wetsuit gift from her friend Cindy but she only went for a ride. I found the water vizability poor out at marker 50 and had to go in to 5' off Key Lois. Aimee jumped in and said the water was cool but enjoyable as she snorkeled the shallow ledges. She spotted small lobster and said they were the smallest she ever seen. For approximately half hour she checked for one bigger and loved the swim. Angie was lookout, and we shared a beer in the boat. I was hoping to take Aimee to Looe but fuel was limited and it was the only calm day in the four she visited.<br>Angie and I pulled the boat a few days later. I removed the Honda engine from the Super Snorkel and while cleaning the disk with solvent received a chemical burn like no other in my life from the gloves used for fishing. Replaced the AIR FILTER and changed oil in the engine. Found the recoil and engine hard to pull, so the cylinder and recoil was lubed and freed up. Dive gear stored in boat box, waiting for next year.

Tom, and HenryIt's been several days since my log has been opened. Tom dove the Gulf at gps Angie1. Then we went over to gps Tcut, where he found some very good cover for lobster but they just were not there. It was a good trip and Tom got plenty of exercise.
